It is quite shocking to see the level of complete disdain for customers demonstrated by Mr Van Brocken and his employees. An organization that claims to offer service and emergency response to customers might be assumed to have some interest in living up to their claims. Not so in the case of Mr Van Brocken and his employees. In Florida, air conditioning is not just an item of comfort and convenience. For many people, air conditioning is a life saving necessity, and if there is no A/C, it is a genuine emergency. Previous to this specific incident, Mr. Van Broken's employees have demonstrated a level of incompetence that is breathtaking in its breadth and depth. A botched installation, lack of attention to even the most basic service measures, and an attitude of complete disinterest in customer satisfaction characterize the sort of "service" that Von-Aire provides to those unfortunate enough to be their customers. Just as disturbing and unfortunate is the damage to the reputation of the Trane and Carrier companies that are unlucky enough to be represented by the customer relations nightmare that is Mr. Von Broken's company. I have let each company know of the terrible light that their fine products are being perceived in due to the sloppy and uncaring workmanship and poisonous customer relations of Von-Aire, and I do expect that both Trane and Carrier will be reevaluationg their relationship and future dealings with Mr. Von Broken.

In this case, the outright refusal to aid in an emergency situation with an autistic boy from England that was in medical distress due to the exteme temperatures and humidity of an un-airconditioned house was truly startling in the total lack of compassion for a child in severe distress. This policy was first expressed by the emergency service person, who actually refused to respond; and later confirmed by none other than Mr. Van Broken himself. I believe that as the owner of a company that truly shows NO interest in the customer beyond profiting from the initial sale, Mr. Van Broken should be appropriately rewarded by the very same lack of interest from potential customers. Please bear this in mind, and if considering Von-Aire for your business, remember that you can expect bad attitude, no support, and a complete refusal to provide service in an emergency. Mr. Van Brocken, more properly termed Mr. Van BROKEN for his company policy and attitude, will no doubt in time be referred to as Van BROKE, if the public awards him the same lack of interest he shows in his customers.

I have dealt with A/C companies for nearly 40 years.. This was the worst experience ever. Besides doing shoddy work (which the people we had to bring in when they were no shows pointed out to us) these guys have an attitude and have the woman's voice on their voice mail of someone who QUIT on them months ago (She told me how she really felt about the company) We had a HANDICAPPED boy with autism who is blind in a wheelchair (and autistic) in the bedroom on the top floor where there was no A/C. It took them forever to call us back (on what should have been an emergency line answered regularly or calls returned promptly) and when they finally called back they refused to help us , said they were talking to the owner and did not care that we had a boy who could die in the heat of the top floor in his bedroom where there was no air conditioning... (We are in Florida in severe heat with only a few windows to open and it's stifling hot) Turns out they did a shoddy incorrect job which contributed to the AC breaking. We paid dearly for the job they did (that did not work) and yet they refused to fix it during hours where they supposedly offer emergency service. The tech (who looks like a kid) "Joe" refused to help us or even call us back when he said he would and the owner Richard Von Brocken (pronounced BROKEN as far as i'm concerned which would be quite fitting) did not call us back either. We actually sent someone to his home to see if he could help as we are under warranty but he has huge gates and 24 hour survelliance and warning signs (about beware of dog etc) We agree he's probably ran into this problem before with disgruntled CHEATED customers like us. Richard and Deborah Von Brocken (aka Broken) 190 Rodeo Road Ormond Beach, Florida 32174 (west of 95 off Granada) We would recommend All American Air who came out immediately and that you stay as far away from these shoddy workers as possible. They didn't care that a boy could die in the heat with no ac who is handicapped... They didn't even call us back. I hope their business is shut down soon as it's not much of a business in my book.
